Original trio is Korva, Azura, and Moira. Mouse and Nyx join later on.
Korva: Always felt overshadowed by her brother. She’s adventuring to prove she’s actually the stronger and more skilled one. She doesn't hold back what she’s thinking and relies on the help of her companions- her raven, Echo, and her mushroom friend, Shroomish- to get by.>
Azura: Acts like a "sunshine" person to get through the day, but doesn't actually know much about her own past, specifically her mother. She is traveling specifically to find answers about a dark past she can't quite remember or understand.>
How they met: They met in a tavern after Korva started a massive fight and was being cornered by the owner for damages. Azura stepped in and calmly talked the owner down, getting him to drop the charges. Korva was impressed by Azura’s composure and began questioning her. While Azura could speak clearly about her faith as a cleric, she was unable to answer questions about her own past. Korva shared her own struggles with her brother, and the two formed an immediate bond. Since then, Azura has acted as the calming influence on Korva’s temper, while Korva provides the initiative and drive they need to keep moving forward.
Moira: Grew up in a city that was racist toward Tieflings. She lived in poverty and decided to leave to find a life where she isn't judged for her red skin. Everything she does is pragmatic and tactical.>
Their meeting: In Emberfall, Korva and Azura visited a local blacksmith shop to investigate reports of missing wizards in the city. There, they met Moira, who worked at the forge while living in a cramped slum apartment. Moira mentioned that her tutor, Professor Hawthorne, might have more information about the disappearances and offered to take them to him. At the time, Moira trusted Hawthorne completely, unaware that he was only monitoring her talent and intentionally limiting her magical education to keep her under his control. She joins the party after the adventure in Emberfall.
Mouse: Grew up on the streets as an urchin. Doesn’t know her family, doesn’t care to find out. Met a deity in human form named Caspian who gave her 10,000 gold. Now she uses noble disguises to move through the world while traveling with the party and her eel-dragon, Momo.
Nyx: Grew up as a sheltered noble and had plenty of training, but never in a real fight where death was on the line. She is a purple Tiefling devoted to Torm and Lawful Good ideals, finally trying to see if her training holds up in the real world.>
Their meeting: Caspian sent Nyx to protect a "small noble" named Lady Katerina Valerius of Oakhaven (Mouse) while the girl's caretakers were away on a mission. Nyx, having grown up in a noble house, immediately noticed that "Lady Katerina" had the etiquette of a street brawler—especially when Mouse began haggling with a street vendor with the ferocity of an urchin. Though Nyx was confused by the behavior, she trusted Caspian's orders and stayed at her post. The haggling went south, upsetting a vendor who sent a group of thugs after the pair. Korva, Azura, and Moira, who had been following the duo after a tip from Caspian, trailed them into a narrow alleyway. They arrived expecting to save a helpless noble and a shiny knight, only to find that Mouse and Nyx had already handled the thugs with ease. Instead of being shaken, Mouse was immediately fascinated by Korva. Having grown up in a dense urban environment, she hadn't seen many Druids, and the sight of Korva (and her companions) sparked an immediate curiosity.

Borin and Dorin (Side Characters):
Older twin brother dwarves. Borin was a cleric and a mentor to Azura; Dorin is a paladin on the King’s Guard. During a battle against a necromancer, Borin sacrificed himself to save Azura. Dorin smited the necromancer in a rage, but Azura dealt the final blow. Borin’s death left the original trio and Dorin grieving, and it serves as the primary catalyst for Azura’s current obsession with learning and gathering ingredients for Revivify.

Nin (Side Character):
Nin is often a blur of teal skin and purple braids, a three-year-old kobold (twenty in human years) who lives as a nomadic canyon messenger. A minimalist monk of the Ascendant Dragon, she carries no baggage but her messages, relying on her orange-palmed gloves and restless energy to summit peaks others won't even map. Practical and scrappy, she frequently crosses paths with adventuring parties traversing mountainous landscapes, offering her expert aid and navigation through the world's most treacherous terrain with a chaotic, free-spirited grace.
